A cashier in Kakamega had to be arrested after she lost a whopping sh 200,000 to a smart conman from Kisumu Town.
It is reported that the female cashier had sales amounting sh 200,00 when this friend who has been disguising self as her friend asked her for some urgent help.
The man had driven in with a black Harrier car and parked it just at the door of the restruarnat and went straight to the cashier and pleaded for the money promising to refund in just hours.
“He told me he had someone in hospital over an accident and wanted sh 200,000. I pulled the money from the safe and handed him.
“I was expecting him this morning but he is not picking calls,” she told hotel owners before her arrest.
Her family would come by to help save her from remaining in police cells and that is the time they came with another idea about using Traditional means because police could be accomplices of the racket.
