Schneider, French firm, appoints new President for Kenya

Schneider Electric, the French energy company, has announced the appointment of Ifeanyi Odoh as the new Country President for Kenya, effective February 2024. He replaces Carol Koech, who is moving to Dubai to spearhead the firm’s sustainability strategy in international operations.

Odoh transitions to Schneider Electric Kenya from South East Asia, where he served as the Strategy and Transformation Leader overseeing Vietnam and Cambodia. Before his role in Asia, he led Offer Marketing and Business Development in Anglophone West Africa, driving commercial actions and go-to-market strategies for Schneider Electric products, software, and services in the region.

Devan Pillay, President of Schneider Electric’s Anglophone Africa cluster, lauded Odoh as a visionary strategist and transformational leader, highlighting his track record in driving sustainable growth and innovation for the business.

Pillay stated, “We are eager to leverage his expertise in the New Energy Landscape as we explore new energy opportunities in the region.”

Odoh expressed his commitment to working closely with the local team to enhance business performance and introduce new energy concepts and impact entrepreneurship initiatives in the region.

“I am honored to lead Schneider Electric Kenya,” Odoh remarked. “The business possesses a strong foothold in East Africa, a robust brand presence, a talented team, and significant growth prospects.”

As Carol transitions, the company welcomes Ifeanyi into his new role and anticipates benefiting from his knowledge and experience gained across different Schneider Electric markets.
